E5-2699V4 vs E5-4669V4

I found a great deal on some brand new E5-4669V4 which as far as I know, should work in a dual socket motherboard, correct ?

It also looks like the same specs as the E5-2699V4 , except with lower TDP



My only concern is that on CPU Benchmark the 4669 v4 shows the single thread as much slower than the 2699:

However it's only from one sample and error rate shows as *High

anyone knows a bit more about these 2 CPU's ? Are they about the same in terms of speed ?

Turbo is higher on the E5-2699 v4, which will result in better single threaded performance (and multi due to higher TDP). To answer your question however, yes, it should work in any dual socket (or single for that matter) system.

alright, thanks, but if I don't Turbo either of them, it should be similar performance @ 2.2Ghz, correct ?

Yes. Same can generally be said about any CPUs sharing a generation (assuming core count, cache, etc are the same).
