Crossflashing 9300-8e to IR mode...possible?

Is it possible to flash the 9300-8e to IR mode? There doesn't appear to be any IR mode firmware on the Broadcom website, only IT mode firmware. Wondering if anyone has down this with say the 9300-8i firmware with success.

Thank you. And that's what I assumed but as you can see on the BC website they don't provide an IR firmware.

Yea it will not accept the IR firmware, only the IT firmware.

That is interesting. They have both IT & IR FW for 9300-4i4e. Wonder how that card works

You should know that a RAID controller need a place to store the raid configuration. Hint - NVSRAM.
