I was browsing ebay and noticed that lot:

Seller have 5 more of those (I bought one for myself, but cheaper international delivery would take a few weeks). Not clear what is manufacturing date, but they provide 1y warranty on it.

International shipping by ebay is somewhat expensive, but for the device seems ok (still under 500$ with shipping).

UPD: Re-uploaded listing in another post https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...010-32x100g-siwtch-ebay-315.44517/post-433239

My unit was from 2017, with vendor-applied workaround for the Avoton AVR54 bug: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...010-32x100g-siwtch-ebay-315.44517/post-433229

how loud is this switch?
I don't have mine yet; I probably will get it in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Also, I was planning to mod it and replace the fans with something quieter anyway. But I'll figure out what to do when I see it.

make sure your switch doesn't have the Atom AVR54 bug
Yeah, I think I've mentioned on the top that I don't know what the production date of those is and if it is newer than the AVR54 bugfix that was applied.

Let me know when you get it what production year you get, the seller doesn't seem to be responding to questions.

Got it today, production date: May 2017.

As far as I understand, that should mean that either it is already C0 stepping, or that at least motherboard level fix was applied by manufacturer

I thought that the 2019 production units had the fix - Might want to check that out.

I'm in that case trusting the old sth article from 2017:

And quote:

For Q1/ Q2 2017, most vendors are implementing a motherboard-level workaround. We had been told that there would be a new silicon spin to address the issue but that it would be some time until products with the new spin would show up.

I've got some time to disassemble mine and I saw that it had workaround for avoton bug applied by manufacturer (a wire).

About how loud it is - it is loud as hell. Though I haven't played much with it, probably it can be presuaded to be quieter. Or moded to stay cool and quiet.

Can confirm, mine with production Date 06/13/2017 also has this workaround applied
