Hello,

I have a few Broadcom fc modules, can they be used with sfp+ 10g ports?
Image of the module is below.

You have a 8Gbit Short wave Fibre channel module. This cannot work on a SFP+ Ethernet port. Different protocols.

funnily enough they will actually work, depending on the switch. in my experience brocades are very forgiving, I've used FC modules for 40gbe connections. they're just SerDes to laser converters after all, they have no clue what protocol is running over them

I used 4Gb SFP modules with 1GbE links. Worked fine.
There is a chance that if the 8Gb module can handle the out of spec speed and will be recognized by the software, it will work with 10GbE.
