I have two c6100 servers that are just sitting here. I hate to just send them out to the landfill. Was considering pulling out the drive backplane and cage from both the 12 3.5" version and the 24 2.5" version. Has anyone ever used those for a NAS outside of the c6100 chassis?
I have a 2 - lsi 9210-8i. figure i can use those with my 1950x threadripper (for the PCI lanes) as my NAS. (Frankenstein comes to mind)
These server blades aren't worth running anymore, my opinion, due to perf/kw
