I've been trying to research a way to handle fail over between switches but I can't either figure out the right terminology or if it is even a possibility given my scenario.
I have a fiber connection (40GB) working as the uplink between two switches, along with an Ethernet cable to act as a backup in case anything fails. (Hindsight should probably have pulled two fiber cables and then configured a LAG, but too late now)
Is there a way to configure the two switch (ICX 7250) so in case the fiber port disconnects/disables, the ethernet port is automatically enabled and takes over as the default uplink?
