Hi! I also have the E3C246D2I motherboard and I'm running into memory issues as well, I installed a Xeon E3 1245 V5, one stick of KSM26ED8/16HD (which kingston says is supported) but I can't get it to post, it looks like a memory issue (Intel error code 55)
reseat DIMM & CPU (check pins)
if nothing helps, try other memory. maybe the stick lacks JEDEC 2133Mt profile(required for E3 1245 V5)

Is the E3C246D2I compatible with a V5 Xeon? I'm confused...
It's most certainly not! My bad! That's the CPU I'm using for another build, but never got inside my E3C246D2I. This motherboard has a Xeon 2246G Turns out the issue I mentioned was a faulty stick of RAM. Once the new one arrived it posted!

Thank you all!

Do you happen to remember what power issue you did have and how did you solve it? I'd be forever greatful for any advice!

I'm using a brand new Corsair SF450 platinum, both the 8pin and 4pin (converted from 24pin) inserted.

Thanks a lot in advance!
I was dumb and forgot to plug in The CPU power connector.

Hmmm, I've been planning to buy this motherboard for a home NAS, your comment is making me worried about power consumption.

Did you manage to figure out what's causing the problem and did you solve it?
