I am looking at the Samsung 1TB PM961 NVMe drive: Amazon.com: Samsung 1TB PM961 Single Sided 80mm (2280/2280SS) M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) OEM NVMe SSD - MZVLW1T0HMLH: Computers & Accessories

Reading the item description it says this a client drive. Would that mean these are consumer drives? I had thought the PM961 were enterprise drives but given it only has a three year warranty and the verbiage in the description I believe I am incorrect.

The Samsung website says these are workstation drives.

It's an OEM version of the 960 Evo. It's definitely not an enterprise drive. Don't expect any warranty on them either.

Amazon link I assume auto inserted, as said they are essentially an OEM client drive version of EVO 960
what price did you see them for ?
what you may be more interested in is PM963 but they are 22110 size, but enterprise drive.

The Amazon price is $149. Ebay sellers are selling refurbished for $137-145. CamelCC has a historical low of 114.

If you have room for 2.5" I have a boatload of Intel m2 to u2 converters ;)

Checking for your other parts too.

This is why I ended up wtih so many random NVME parts before I got NVME backplane\chassis was to run M2 HBA to U2 with converters, and SM NVME HBA to NVME drive cages.
