To quote from one of these articles: "AMD promised that its first-generation platforms would be compatible with the second-generation AMD EPYC 7002 series."
What happened to these promises? I can't slap a Rome CPU on the Supermicro H11DSi I bought back when Naples was released.

I need to send a note to the SM guys when I get a few minutes before heading international again.

We are targeting 9/30 for the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 review with Rome.

I also think some of the OEMs made decisions for first-generation Naples servers that make them less attractive for Rome. An example from the DL325 Gen10 is that it is DDR4-2933 and PCIe Gen3 because they used a lower-cost motherboard.

I hear you, it is frustrating. I will see what I can dig up.
