Accidentally shutdown the wrong host via the web client, don't ask, anyway the host that initiated shutdown was in the process of expanding a raid array and I was trying to quickly find how to abort a shutdown on ESXi.
I didn't manage to find anything in time and yes, painful recovery.
So my question is:
Is there a command similar to windows "Shutdown -a" for aborting a ESXi shutdown and if so what is it please?

None that I know of, that essentially pulls off a services.sh stop/halt to bring the hypervisor services down gracefully.

Takeaway...'measure twice, cut once' heh or be DAMNED sure you are initiating an operation that 'can be' catastrophic on the proper host :-D

EDIT: Lil' tidbit some of you 'may' not have known...you know that DCUI (Direct Console User Interface) ugly mgmt ESXi screen most of us manage through IPMI, if you ssh into a ESXi host and simply type 'dcui' sit back and smile. :-D Ctrl + c to exit
