Hi,
Got two of those for cheap and was trying tto flash to IT mode. I read somewhere that the regular m1015 approach would work with the -8 firmware but that fails with MfgPage2 error when trying to flash the dell Fw after running cleanflash.

Does anyone have the proper instructions at hand maybe? my google-foo is weak today:/
Thanks

I think I had to use an older version of SAS2Flash when this happened. But it has been almost a year since I have done this so don't remember for sure.

I've not used -4i version but to override the Mfgpage2 error, you have to use p13 or before. Check fellow member @mattr blog post for the zip file or Broadcom's downloads/archive section

Updated: SAS HBA crossflashing or flashing to IT mode, Dell Perc H200 and H310

Tried dell version and p7,both didn't help. Not sure if 9240 can be flashed similarly now:(

Ok, some progress
My mistake was trying to flash the Dell FW on a non Dell device.
Ran -e 6 and then LSI P7 (and not trying dell first) worked on Adapter 1, P20 was no problem then

Adapter 2 is still acting up:

Its not visible on sas2flsh -listall, but I still can see it on megarec -adpList.

Just cant do anything with it for now - any sas2flsh command fails with above error

Edit:
ok, was able to flash back to 9240-4i IMR mode via megarec/ lsi_preboot imr_fw.rom
Now to try again ...

sas2flsh still complains ... weird

I've seen wierd issue like that on some HBAs with P5/P7. Try P13 or P14 version.

Got it resolvedo by removing all other hba's and then running p16 sasflash on it with trying list before. Inconsistent behaviour but at least it works now...
