That's a steal if you have a SAS controller, does anyone have benchmarks on it?
I think it's like 400MB/s read but really slow 100-200MB/s write. I think it doesn't cache in RAM hence slower write. It was made for like CDNs and stuff where you write infrequently and read often.

ahh crap i was excited to use it in my desktop since i have a PERC6 i/r in there anyway but i think i'll hold out, space is good but useless without speed... then again it wouldnt be bad for a secondary drive instead of the array of spinning rust i have right now

I think SanDisk basically bought Pliant and kept the design as it had a bunch of big OEM wins.
