After I upgrade to 09010j_cd1 I have had random reboots. The reason might be my fan mod idk but with version 08095m it does NOT happen. After downgrading to 08095 again everything is back to normal. That's really annoying because I cannot SSH into the switch with firmware 8 :-/

It seems the 120 fan I installed is too slow. I'm constantly getting this in the logs: Stack unit 1 Fan 1 (Rear Side Fan 1, (1st From Right), failed Stack unit 1 Fan 1 (Rear Side Fan 1, (1st From Right), ok It doesn't really break anything but maybe I will replace the fan with a faster one.

The 40mm fan as well as the 120mm fan on top both blow outside. The big fan is on top of the swith so It's using quite a bit more space in the rack.

I tried just that. Actually I went for 2 x 120mm fans but when the system slow the fans down, the switch is only reachable for like 1 or 2 seconds and then suddenly reboots. The same happens if I connect 2 x 80mm fans. I do NOT know but my guess is there is a threshold in the firmware that the...

Thank you. I will check, maybe I will try to remove the 40x40 fans completely and put 2 times 80x80 in the top of the case. They will run more silently with even more throughput.

how do I connect the fan? The two chassis fan port are already taken.

I have an offer for a ICX7250 on ebay but it's shipment from US to Germany and the seller says it's 8 x 1G uplinks, upgradable to 8 x 10G. Do I get it right that I just will have to install the so called honor license and will get 10G or will I have to spend even more money to get the 10G upgrade?
