    I see. I'll look into it in the future then. From the prices I saw, even though this UPS is not very efficient, it would take years to make up the difference, financially speaking.

    What sort of equipment would you recommend instead? I don't know where to start looking, in this case. I can't return the UPS anymore, but if it's really that bad, I can sell it.

    Ok, so about 1/2 of my build's power draw, but with a 6 core CPU and more advanced video transcoding capabilities. Is that with or without an UPS? My UPS (an APC Back-UPS BX500MI) adds 8~14W, so my actual idle power draw is around 33W.
