I agree, it might be a getto style hack but it works.. Whether it be grinding down the mounts or using shims.. any type of hack is better than non. Just leaving this unit to run as is will only end in tiers. Not sure we're you guys are from but in my neck of the woods (sub tropics) this unit...

Yes, it has a tiny bit of flex the same as yours, but it insures the CPU has Max contact with the thermal block.

For those with the CWWK V4… Temps before pulling this thing appart.. Cleaned up the thermal blocks used wet a dry 1200 Visible gap between the CPU and Copper thermal block... Filling down the motherboard mounts No more gap between the CPU and themal blocks Puttting the thermal...

Its worth the effort sanding down those mounts ;)

One suggestion I would make is to remove the paint under the thermal blocks and see if that improves the transfer of heat to the case? The paint will be effecting the efficacy of the heat transferring to the case.. I’ve had my unit running stable with OPNsense for over 8 days now with no issue...
