seems to be impossible from everything I've tried. request a refund from ebay for "defective item". I've got a box of four Mist APs that I bought from ebay that were already claimed that I got refunded because they were expensive paperweights.
just to add some more info, here's the output of my "fru_read 2" 00000000: 01 0a 19 01 00 00 20 bb 01 09 00 81 88 82 83 64 ...............d000 - Pastebin.com
note that it says "MD1240-EQL" which is funny.
Uhh so.. I may have a weird development firmware build on my controllers.. running _ver shows the Build Owner not as Github but as a person’s name..who is a principal dev who works at Dell. Build date is 2012 but Dell Version is 1.05 and Revision 0.0.63.0.
so this is fun.. I bought a Dell EqualLogic PS6100 without controllers, bought two "03DJRJ Dell PowerVault MD1200 MD1220 6Gbps SAS 512MB Cache Controller" and slapped them in, connected Dell password reset cable to a USB-RS232 adapter and on reboot I'm greeted with:

I just went through this exercise and despite not being a big fan of Ubiquiti stuff, ended up buying a three pack of Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Flex Minis: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ML5B6BT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Only five ports but seem inexpensive enough and POE / USB C...
ha, well it turns out that same PDF actually tells me exactly which cable I should use I and I can buy the bundle of two cables from eBay for ~$30 + shipping: Intel AXXCBL650HDHD Mini-SAS Cable Kit New Bulk Packaging 735858284752 | eBay
by the way, I stumbled on this https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S2600WT_Config_Guide.pdf document which goes into detail on a lot of the connections and backplane and such on the board. I only found it _after_ I banged my head against the wall on why my...
anyone able to get ISO mounting over KVM / Java Jviewer to work properly?
I've gotten the actual KVM control to work fine, but whenever I try and mount an ISO via the Jviewer jnlp, it either freezes the KVM window or it sometimes mounts but with 2 Mb/s ISO read speeds. I'm on the latest 2020...
I asked some favors and a friend with access got it from the Netapp site.

there's some threads on this forum about .lod files...
Found it on the internet, but I honestly have no idea how to flash it. I know it's originally designed to be used from Netapp ONTAP, which most of us obviously don't have. sg_write_buffer seems like it could work, but I'm not sure which mode to use and if the .LOD file needs to be modified at...
hmm that's promising news! can you point me in the right direction for obtaining the firmware, or is this thread probably my best bet? https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/firmware-enterprise-ssds-sm1625-pm853t-and-others.14014/page-2
in the span of a month, I've now had two of these SSDs seemingly die in one of my hypervisor servers. they have good cooling in the server case and I wasn't hammering them that hard, certainly not enough to fail like this. haven't had a chance to do much troubleshooting other than boot into a...
if you have the correct dual port cable, more than one path should be listed, which you'd then have both set to Active/Optimized. since there's only one path listed in your screenshot, it does not look like you have the correct cable.
four output connectors on one cable won’t allow the use of the second SSD port due to bandwidth limits unfortunately. I actually had a four connector cable and sold it and got two of the dual port cables I linked above so I could take advantage of multipathing speeds.
