RHEL 8 reached GA

The title is pretty self explanatory.

I look forward to CentOS 8 becoming available so I can try it out.

The CentOS team made a blog post about the status of CentOS 8, essentially they are tracking the status on this website: About/Building 8 - CentOS Wiki

According to wikipedia, it took them almost a month from RHEL 7 release date to CentOS 7 release date.

one concern i have is the deprecation of what i think are pretty import drivers.... LSI SAS2008/2108/2116 ... keep that in mind if upgrading servers with these LSI SAS controllers.

Ouch ! 2116 gets used a bit in the products like X10SDV with the D-1500 Xeon’s so not really ‘old’ (although you can argue SM used and old controller in a new board)

That sucks. Has anyone tried it? With how long RHEL kernels stick around this is not good.
