An update:
Replacing the CR2032 did not help, still not booting and SFP+ & motherboard lights blinking some kind of error code.
Qotom agreed on an RMA but the board has been held by Chinese customs for a few days now.
Does not boot with it disconnected. SFP+ bay lights flash and there's at least one red light on the board flashing.

I think you might be on to something. No idea why this caused it to turn off, though.
Now to find out where to source a Newsun CR2032-55-2 with either a tiny Molex or JST connector and hope I get the connector type and polarity right. Why couldn't they just have used a normal cell or holder?
Dueltek / Omega Power Equipment appear to be the Trendnet importers for Australia and I just got an email back from them saying they will "not be importing the item at this time". They referred me to D-Link Australia - no idea what's going on.
My Qotom unit just failed. The power supply is apparently still supplying 3W at 12V but it's no longer powering on.
I have emailed Qotom and will see what they say.
Yes I know this is a silly idea but it would solve a problem relatively cheaply for me.

What would be classed as too high of a temperature and where would I measure it (as in where should I put the probe)?
