So I wanted to throw my hat in to this ring. Don't quite remember how I stumbled on this thread but sure glad I did. I spent the better part of an hour splicing an old PS/2 mouse mini-DIN connector to an old serial port cable. If I didn't have a brain fart and forget to cross the RX/TX lines...
