    I just PM'd the seller asking for POH / wear leveling / TB R/W (W moreso than R). recommended either smartctl or crystaldiskinfo to get the info if they can. I'll report back (after I buy a few of course) if they're able to provide it.

    the usb controller onboard is basically garbage. The WD easystore/elements are the same. When I plug them in and run badblocks, it takes 3-4x longer inside the case as shucked.
