    The first one is an XPON ONU stick. You can use this if you have an XPON offer from your ISP. Seeing how you're talking about 2.5G, you could be on GPON, so you would need a GPON ONU. You will need to use Broadcom's ediag tool to force the port to recognise HSGMII SFP modules, followed by kernel patching whatever firewall solution you decide to use.
