Thanks for your post! I recently got a 9380-8e (by mistake) to drive a 12G Sans Digital JBOD with FreeNAS only to find out that the onboard H/W raid was useless and needed to be disabled. Think I may try your guide to crossflash mine to the 9300-8e IT firmware as well... have you run into any...
