Does anyone know whether or not there's any way to connect 100Mbps copper ethernet devices to the SFP+ ports after doing this? The problem I have is that several of the cheap 'smart' home products I have insist on putting stupid 100Mb ports in their devices, and with the transceivers I have...
I would, but I currently don't have any 10Gb links, sorry! My switch actually isn't even in dedicated operation yet lol. Too much money spent as of late so gotta save up a little bit haha :)
This is great news! Thanks for continuing to keep at it and for the update!
I personally don't have any desire (at least rn) to go back, but in some ways a "1 way trip" is always at least a little disconcerting :)
It did!!
Understand that I'm quite the noob at some of this stuff, so from an unfamiliarity standpoint alone I took the liberty of making a few notes as I went along on a few points where I just assumed some stuff. Feel free to add or update the guide if you feel like any of this stuff is...

@fohdeesha Ok so I'm just getting a chance to walk through the tutorial, however right at the first step (where I run '
md 0xfff80000 20'), I get the following:

LOL that's what I figured I just wanted to be sure :) I currently have zero 10G equipment (24x or otherwise) and so the last thing I would want would be to be the new owner of a very effective brick that just so happened to cost $300 :D
Sure, once they skyrocket on up to $600-$800 because of this method LOL :p jkjk
Ok, good to know. It's obviously not the end of the world, but it would be nice haha.
Also - any progress on the front of determining if it's possible to flash back to stock after flashing it to brocade? Or is...
New member here but anxiously awaiting this documentation! I don't have any 10Gb equipment yet but this is seriously looking like it might be a really good excuse to start lol!
