There are parts of the BIOS that contain device-specific details, like S/N, NIC MAC address, etc. You'd have to confirm that flashing a complete flash from the firmware upgrade package wouldn't overwrite them — their firmware software might only be updating specific sections of flash rom...

EXPIRED Micron 5100 Pro 3.84TB SATA SSDs €104/each

The tables are kinda turning for us here in the EU, it used to be that all my friends asked me to bring electronics from the US when I lived there. Couple years from now and our American friends will be smuggling things from Europe  Thanks, I will much appreciate it!

Anyone tried soldering PCI slot onto m75q?

The m75q gen1/2 (and likely newer, too), have a room for their PCI slot connector, but it's unpopulated. Considering that it's already known how to add an extra m2 slot and so many actually did, I wonder if anyone tried soldering a PCI slot connector, too? This would make it a very interesting...

I am guessing the firmware updater made a backup of the flash — if so, I am guessing it would be saved in the EFI partition or on the USB flash drive, depending on what you used to flash it. If it is there, then you need ch341a programmer and it's a quick fix to flash it back.

I am gonna answer myself here: coreboot has nothing to do with it, it's down to ACS not being supported by Intel consumer CPUs. However, there's a potential of using PCH lane here, see: An opportunity to fix IOMMU grouping here for PCI devices · Issue #19 · j4cbo/tiny5-m2-riser With this riser...

Would be cool if prefixes were also supported, like e.g. &prefix_id=1 for Great Deals in EU only. Unfortunately, https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?forums/great-deals.8/index.rss&prefix_id=1 has no effect, and apparently it's broken upstream since 2022: Not a bug - Prefixes Specified in...

Anyone within EU bot not Germany tried ordering and successfully applied TECHNIK2025 coupon? I get that a lot with them, even if I choose to ship to Germany (but my account is registered elsewhere in EU).
