Check the Datasheet of NVMe that you will use it (support 520 or not), after that check capabilities that drive to convert from 512 to 520 with hdm format :

I think its about driver problem, please try on Windows Server OS and install HPE Smart Storage Administrator and both of Controller will show on web based like Intelligent Provisioning menu on Bios (F10), maybe its can helped...
Its just PCIe problem, me on DL160 Gen 9 (H240 Controller + PCIe 800GB NVMe Intel P3700 HHHL) often get this problem, the solution is just remove the PCIe Riser and re-insert to slot before, power on the server with UEFI and the problem is gone... but this only HomeLab server and never test on...
