That is an insane deal. I paid $380 for seagate ironwolf pro a few months ago and these hgst are way more reliable than seagates. Even for $325 a piece they are a steal

Surely the 90 days is just the reseller not the rma which would be manufacturer? Or are they so old...

My guess is these are OEM parts with no manufacturer warranty. The 90 days is just from the seller.

I had read that some early 2017 model HGST Helium drives had issues, ( manufacturing), a particular model, however not all users were affected, The company fixed the issue and replaced drives, I bought 2 of these to try, there are more on ebay with this model number as well..

The chances of you having issues with these drivers are slim. They are cheap because of the 90 days warranty if you wanted more then you need to pay close to $150 more per hdd.

Deal is dead
this just didn't seem as sweet of a deal as the 8TB at Best Buy for $180, which came with 2 yr warranty and +1yr if your credit card offers additional warranty. plus, now i have $45 to spend at Best Buy from rewards points... although I have no idea what to use them for.
