I was hoping the C6145 would be around the same cost, but after researching I see they are a different design (2 nodes each with quad CPUs). $350 is a great price, but I can't do that right now.hello tycoonbob. The C6145 have 2.5" drives. The cheapest on ebay right now looks like $799 for chassis only. I can go $350 for these.
I am out of all C6100's that take 5500/5600 processors. Sorry.
We probably won't get anymore in, as we focus on Dell R-series servers and Dell Blades.

Interesting. Thanks for the quick overview as well! I don't need the drive bays, to be honest, as I was planning on getting a C6100 for a 2 node XenServer cluster with iSCSI SAN storage from my storage box. The other two nodes would be standalone Hyper-V (Server 2012) boxes, with a single 500GB SSD and iSCSI storage available, with my C1100 being a Hyper-V Replica server. Ergo, all the drive bays (minus a few) and the PCIe slots are pretty well useless (minus the fact of using gigabit of 10GigE NICs cards). Guess I will need to save for a C6100 on eBay!The c6145 is available in single node or dual node, with the single node being more popular. You get four AMD G34 CPU slots per node, which fit AMD 61xx, 62xx, or 63xx CPUs. You get three x16 PCIe slots plus an x8 Mezzanine slot that takes the same cards as the c6100 and another x16 connection that uses an external iPass connector designed for the Dell c410x external chassis.
The c6145 stuffs quite a bit of horsepower into a 2U chassis - too much in fact. The dual node version pretty much requires the 208V power supply and has other limitations as well. In almost all configurations, single node or dual, 120V or 208V, you are asked to leave some number of CPU slots and/or disk slots and/or PCIe slots and/or RAM slots empty in orde to fit into the power envelope.
Even with those limitations, and even without disk caddies included, $350 is a good deal. Add two (not four) AMD 6128 CPUs and 64GB of RAM, plus some HP 2.5" disk caddies, and you have a very reasonably priced dual-CPU 24-bay server with redundant power. I called Justin and picked up two of these; I'll report when the arrive.

Hyper-V Replica is a great feature. Did you add any NICs into any of your nodes, or are they all just dual GigE? Any LACP?I can highly recommend your Hyper-V idea. I'm running three 96GB RAM c6100 nodes with Samsung 840 pro 512GB SSDs replicating to a fourth c6100 node and it's fantastic.
