Hi, I can't find any discussion here on hardware specs for Proxmox.
Would it be feasible to overwrite* a now ill fated ESXI version 8 with Proxmox on:
an ASUS P11C-X motherboard with an Intel e-2226g CPU?

I only want to run 4 or maybe 5 VM's, the main ones being Server 2022 which is required for an office application, plus a camera installation (BlueIris) ?

* ie remove ESXI, replace with Proxmox?

Thanks

That CPU should work fine. Most hypervisors want ram and disk I/O, not so much CPU (unless you're having one of your VM's do something highly cpu intensive of course).

If Proxmox fits your expectations (I miss the easyness and ntfs alike ACL of the Illumos/Solaris SMB server vs SAMBA), you can combine napp-it cs for ZFS management (beta) with the Proxmox gui for VM management.

(Open Proxmox in a tab beside napp-it)
