Neither are the netgear and ubiquiti 10gb switches but they are still quiet enough to be on my desk

I guess we will never really see many or any fanless 10g base-t switches beyond a couple of ports due to the often 2.5-5 watt per port requirement when SFP+ is significantly less at 0.7 watt or so.

I bought 2 each of the 5G and 10G Aquantia cards.
Since I am getting 10G over cat-5e I no longer need the 5G cards.
The 5G don't talk to my 10G switch anyways.

I thought I may buy the 2.5/5/10 switch but at this price I am sticking with 10G.
If the switch was cheaper and fanless I could place it in my bedroom and upgrade more client machines to 5G/10G
