$400 shipped seems like a solid deal for whats basically $250 of RAM, $150 of motherboard, and some free CPUs. Offers available too, so might be able to get it down to $300-350?

is some countries you have to provide warranty if you sell new items even if you are not a commercial seller.
Yeah for me this is the diffrence between able to do a few months warranty/replacement vs 2 years with local laws.
(as commercial 6months vs 5 years)

Item description from the seller: "brand new Asus, Z10PE-D16 Motherboard. Come as pictured."
Don't know about you, but to me this sounds like a gamble whether any components besides the motherboard itself are included.
If you include stuff like CPUs, RAM and heatsinks, why not put them in the title+description?

Its written in the note in picture and shown in all pictures, title state that its as pictures so if not included its a clear refund by ebay atleast.

But unless looking for that board its not that amazing price imo
Pair of 4$ cpus + 16gb sticks id be paying 0,6$/gb or so localy for.

End up paying more for mobo than id have to pay for a12lff or 24sff CTO standard 2U box of same gen.

The CPUs are kinda useless, but the heatsinks are not. I wonder whether they are qualified for higher core count CPUs.

Thingie takes v4 CPUs, right?

When I contact them the seller said that the board was pre-owned. He accepted my $300 offer, so we'll see how it turns out.

The price is cheap but it is not the WS motherboard. Not sure what quirks this MB has. Here is the good one:

An SM X10DRH could be better alternative but at $300, sound like a good deal if you have the need for the memory and MB.

I've got extra set of these but the model with 8 RAM slots, gimped PCIe layout, 32 GB LRDIMMs and pair of 2696v4s in the EU. Coolers are huge Thermalright towers. PM me if interested.

oh that's an amazingly smart strategy i wish more board manufacturers did that.
Usualy its printed on the pcb along with what bandwidth slot has.

As for why most dont do it, 2 colors adds more parts to buy/store and extra step to mount.

Motherboard works great but it does not like dual v4 CPU's. Apparently early versions of the board have problems with them.
