I ordered this for $40 and they sent genuine Supermicro MCP-290-00053-0N 2U 3U Inner and Outer Rackmount Rail Kit, lightly used. Maybe they have shipping delays on their generic kit and they have these used ones in place to avoid buyer friction.

Sorry if you order and get the shit ones pictured, but had to mention it in case anyone feels like rolling the dice. Looks like 2 of us got official SM rails!

The more expensive rails have ball bearing slides so once mounted, you can slide the server out, do some work, slide it back in. No need to re-rack. Static rails don’t move. You either put the server in or you take the server out.

Could be better than no rails at all I suppose.
