I recently aquired one of these ancient beasts with 2 * F5402e Fibre channel controllers in it, unfortunately both controllers have had their firmware wiped and it seems nigh on impossible to find any trace of Xyratex firmware on the internet these days. They were bought by Seagate in 2013 or so, but their FTP site (ftp.xyratex.com) was available until at least 2016 and, apparently, that had all their firmware on it.
I've managed to connect via a serial cable (which is how I know there's no firmware on there) so all I need is a copy of the firmware and I should be able to get it up and running. Yes, I know that a netapp DS4243 would be much quicker but I don't have any cash at the moment and I kind of want to get this going.
So, anyone have a copy of some 15 year old firmware floating around?
