Sorry everyone. You may have noticed had a hiccup during upgrades this afternoon. One extra sudo apt-get upgrade ended up messing up the entire stack. Tried fixing the updates but then just rolled back.

Having fun swapping the STH main site dev instance over to HTTP/2.

Pretty much the entire stack from the OS up is a major new version (or two) upgraded. Adding HTTPS / HTTP/2 (not that bad since I had the certificates). Looks like varnish will be going away in the next platform. And every component getting upgraded is breaking something!

Fun day.

It is getting close. Apparently there is some issue with the encoding. I think this is a latin / UTF8 issue.

HTTP/2 and HTTPS are working though.

OK that was a long day. Did the cut over on the main site. HTTP/2 and HTTPS. Still a lot of work to do on the caching side and a few other bits that will be in the next rev.

Still have some work to do on the SSL side but could be worse. Likely when SPDY gets dumped for HTTP/2.

Just updated pfSense now. I always get nervous doing that one (e.g. only when I have my laptop and can get to the data center quickly in an emergency).

Feels good to get up to latest versions.

I think STH is ahead of most tech sites in terms of adopting HTTPS for the main content parts at this point.
