Are there any Xeon W-3300 motherboards that have ATX size (my case cannot fit E-ATX), M.2 slot supporting PCI Express 4.0 and IPMI? I saw some board that only offer PCI Express 3.0 on their M.2 slots. Is there any speed or "bootability" difference between using an M.2 slot on the mobo vs. placing the SSD in a PCI Express slot using an adapter? I already have a Samsung 980 pro PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Does Black Friday usually bring deals on Server components or mostly desktop parts? I am looking to upgrade my current X11SAE / E3-1275v5 workstation.

The reason why you're not finding many boards with PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots is because the C621A PCH is PCIe 3.0. The CPU PCIe lanes are usually routed to the expansion slots. There's not really any difference in using an M.2 slot or a regular PCIe slot with adapter.

To answer your other question, server components generally do not go on sale. Black Friday is for consumer goods primarily.
