Xeon E3-1500 Series Discussion

Didn't see any discussion threads on this new line of CPUs but if I missed one please close this.

I'm very intrigued by this new line. However, from what I'm seeing from both SuperMicro and ASRock Rack is they are only putting these chips on Mini-ITX boards. Does anyone have any information about whether or not we'll see these on some mATX boards? Without the ability to use both 10Gb networking AND an add-on HBA these just won't be an option for me.

@IamSpartacus X11SSH-GTF-1585 I believe is what you are dreaming of. The challenge is that these are lower volume parts with higher-cost CPUs onboard.

I actually spoke to one of the PMs for that line yesterday.
