-> No Raid, i have backups + versioning

Main usages:
This server is for my selfhosted stuff and applications and to do some lab stuff for my work as an it administrator.

personally i am running different vms like:

- 2x win2016 domain controller
- 1x exchange 2016
- 1x prtg server
- 1x downloading machine, flexget etc.
- 1x win10 x64 test
- 1x win7 x64 test

for linux servers i am using debian9 (or the latest debian stable)

- nginx reverse proxy
- goaccess server
- tinyrss server
- chevereto server
- nextcloud server
- bookstack server
- cloudtransfer (rclone) server
- plex server
- ntopng
- piwik
- munin, smokeping
- ripme, wpull, youtube-dl

etc..

I am not doing raid. I trust in single enterprise drives and backups.

My harddrives:
- 01: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (System, OS, programs like apc software, vmware workstation)
- 02: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (Cache/Temp Drive)
- 03: Micron 5100 Pro 960GB (VMware Workstation vmdks)
- 04: HGST Megascale 4TB (My Data)
- 05: HGST Megascale 4TB (Backup/Versioning for My Data + Veeam store for vmdks) -> Deduplication
- 06: HGST Megascale 4TB (Download/Upload)
- 07: HGST Megascale 4TB (free)
- 08: WD GOLD 12TB (Plex)
- 09: WD GOLD 12TB (Plex)
- 10: WD GOLD 12TB (Plex)

What i want to change:
Replace Sybia with a IBM M1215 (LSI 9340-8i). Speed of sybia is good enough, its doing 400-500mb/s on the interface when copying something from wd gold to wd gold. But i cannot use my 12 bays, only 10 bay atm.

Power usage:
In this configuration with ~10% cpu load, no hdd spin down and high performance energy profile is see 100-110w on my apc usv. In the value there is a Speedport Smart router and an 16 port Netgear ProSAFE Plus GS100 switch included. I think thats good for this much ssd/hdds and 8core/128gb ram :)
