Hello together

I have a Dual Xeon Board Supermicro X11DPH-T equipped with 2x 4110 Xeon Silver and 96GB Ram.
After an upgrade to Esxi 7 I changed from 2 pieces of Adaptec 8805 (no longer supported) with hardware Raid 5 to ZFS.

One True Nas as Fileserver with 2 x 4 x WD RED and each ZFS Z1 on C622 onboard controller
and one OMV with Nextcloud via passtrough Adaptec 8805 and ZFS Z2 with 8x300GB of old used HP 10K Disks)

The Esxi system an VMS run on RAID 5 on LSI 9460-16i with 4 x Samsung U2 Enterprise NVME SSDs.

I am planning to go additionally to one SAS9207-8i 9217-8i instead of the remaining Adaptec and change OMV also to TrueNas.
But for the nearly 38 TB ZFS and 7 VMs I need more ram, the Board is currently equipped with 12 x 8 GB ECC 2400MHZ.

My Questions are:

  • Can I remove from one CPU 2 x 8GB and replace it with 2 x 32 GB 2666MHZ or do I need to replace on two CPUs with 2x32 GB each?
  • I know the system will then run with the lower Memory speed of 2400 MHZ, but I want to keep the remaining 10 resp. 8 x 8GB Rams.
  • Is it no Problem to continue using the C622 onboard controller for TrueNas or should i replace it also with a LSI HBA 9217?
Thanks and Regards
