I've been looking for a X10SRL-F or X10SRi-F but prices are too high or those models are nowhere to be found. I found this X10SRH-CF one and the seller accepted $200 offer.

I currently have a X9SRL-F with E5-2650v2 and wanted to upgrade to a Ryzen + Asrock board but RAM prices for DDR4 ECC Unbuffered are too high, so my second option was Broadwell-EP. Got a E5-2697A v4@$89 to go along with the board, same seller.

EDIT: Added the link to the E5-2697A v4, seller accepted $89, still has a dozen left and two more boards.

Great board, especially if you were planning to buy a SAS3008-based HBA anyway. I'm happy to answer any questions.
I already have a couple HBAs lying around, but it's always good to have additional onboard ports.

What 32GB 2400 modules are known to work? The compatibility list in SM support page only lists one model of their own brand.

I think the platform is pretty forgiving. I've got M393A4K40BB1-CRC in mine. The manual states that it will run at 2133 if all eight slots are populated with RDIMMs, but I haven't tested that scenario.
@Glock24

On X10SRL-F

Any (dell, cisco, lenovo, micron, sammie, sk) pc4-2400T module that I have tried, 8,16,32 have worked just fine though I have not had a need to try and mix sizes.
Cisco UCS marked ones seem particularly available on the bay and 32GB modules seem to be 37-45USD each or so.
I am about to try some PC4-2400T LRDIMM 64GB but I'm confident that they will also work just fine.

Using the X10SRL-F, the modules are clocking at 2133 when 8 are installed. X10SRH should behave similarly.

Man, I have a few X10SRL-F boards that I dropped dual-port 10gige nics onto... I didn't even know they made one with onboard 10gige...

I wonder if I still have an X9 in use that I can retire and swap out...

uhmm AFAIK - and double checking the SM website. this board does not have 10Gbe-anything. It does have lsi 3008 SAS onboard.

I personally have misread this once or twice:
Dual LAN with Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM2Supports 10Base-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T, RJ45 output

and said oh wow 10Gbe! o_O

As far as I know there's no single socket 10GbE model in the LGA2011 X10 line, but there are several with 10GbE in the dual socket board models, the ones with a "T" in the name.

Link?

I bet these would work great in my R630 barebone that I'm trying to populate.
pc4-2400t is starting to get close to $1USD / GB. the 6$GB ones though... $100... paying a premium for that dense a stick.

honestly I just did a search and sorted by lowest price. like maybe 4 days ago? here's one - a single at 45.

I think as everyone has said though as more and more intel e5 v3/v4 get decommed the memory and cpu's will keep falling. motherboards though - they do seem to be in short supply. I lucked into a pair of X10DRH's in new series CSE-216' for 200.00 each - pays to watch the errant post to homelabbity (ROFL) - based on motherboard prices I'm going to swap some SRL's for those and hang onto the SRL's for the time being - just too hard to get. and just 3 years ago the SRL's were 130.00!!!!

Aww, crap, yeah, I made that mistake too, lol! Why would anyone even list 10-base in this day and age? I even know the i350 doesn't do 10gig, I figured they just didn't list the separate chipset. I saw the beefy heatsink by the ports and figured it was something better than gig-e.

So other than the actual SAS controller, this is really no different than my X10SRL-F boards... Either way, it'll still replace one of my X9SRL-F boards, I just need to dig through my pile of spare xeons and see what decent 2011v3 chips I have lying around for it.
