Hi,

So I got my hands on a X10SDV-6C+-TLN4F (cheap), but have hit the same problem as many other have where it drops the m2 drive between boots / restarts.

Have anyone found a current nvme or m.2. sata which is fully recognized?

Thanks.

i remember a OS problem: M.2 was badly initialized and goes into deep sleep(requires re-powering to wake up)
maybe you have driver issue.

I have seen it with both Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 11. It's the bios which is the problem it do require some specfic thing to be in the NVMe controller firmware; see here: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...usly-hardware-sensitive-m11sdv-8c-ln4f.27179/

And we're now 2 years down the line, I had hoped someone have found something which works.

Been using a WD Black SN750 SE with no issue. lspci shows it as "Sandisk Corp Device 501e".

I'm late to the conversation, but I've been using a Crucial P5 as a boot drive in my X10SDV-TLN4F with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
Thank you, if I end up needing the 6th sata port that might be the best option - for current produced NVMe's.

As I only need 5 SATA connections I ended up getting an Transcend MTS830S (mSATA) - I tested with one I already had from another project which worked flawlessly.

Neat platform, but the NVMe thing have given me some (more) gray and white hair.
