Hi guys,

I recently got a X10SDV-F that I was looking to update the bios on.
I only find the X10SDV-F Bios for the 1541 - can I use that or is that not the same?
Does anyone know where I could find the 1540 one if not?

Thanks

Just watching this thread as I have same board that I haven’t updated for 2 years , I wound assume the same as far as I know the just put the newer CPU. I know the birds have different revisions but in the D-1500 systems the revisions didn’t seem to mean much.

Look the same to me 1540 --> 1541.
When I looked, X10SDV-* all have same IPMI/BMC firmware.

BIOS has same revision 2.0C but divided between NIC port types:
- RJ45 = X10SDVF9
- SFP+ = X10SDVT9

Be bold... Be brave .. take a chance and let us know how it goes ;)

Hello,
I got X10SDV rev 1.03 - the one with Xeon D-1540.
Updated bios with newest version from Supermicro webpage (2.0c) without any problems.

Well if the input had come before I mailed I might have given it a go ... probably would have. Still not old enough to not do stupid things like that;)

SM Support confirmed that its only a different CPU on the 1541 boards and the same Bios is usable.
