does anyone have a cheap/spare Mellanox VPI card and is willing to sell/trade?
Missing one for my newest test setup and the x2 is acting up again w ESX.

Is that HP ethernet or Infiniti band

It's a vpi card, so both:

I can only find the IB based config and native driver will not support x2 ...

Should just be plug and play... the CX2 should still work with the inbox driver for Ethernet... if you want IPoIB then u gotta do a different driverset. What is your Card's brand/model? does it have SFP or QSFP?

Example of a CX2 card using Eth on 6.5U1 via VMware HCL

No it was not recognized

Its a "Mellanox Technologies MT26428 [ConnectX VPI - 10GigE / IB QDR, PCIe 2.0 5GT/s]", QSFP, 2 port flashed to regular MLX FW.

Got it working now - followed the IB principle of removing all inbox drivers and then installed the latest ESX 5.5/6.0 EN driver from Mellanox (MLNX-OFED-ESX-1.9.10.0-10EM-550.0.0.1331820) and at least get a single port to show up and connect at 10G which is enough until I can get a X3.
