Interested to see if anyone has one of these chassis available w/ the following:
  • SAS3 backplane
  • All 24 drive trays
  • Rails
Would be looking to get it shipped or within reasonable drive for local pickup of 60502.

Thanks!

Glad I got one for $500 with the motherboard :) Hard to ship that beast, mine came one pallet. Probably shipping was half of the cost.

Why hard to ship?
I bought my sm847 about 10 years ago
Came in a box with fitted foam wrapper.
Perfectly safe.
Of course the only thing left from that setup now is the shell and trays

You must have the original manufacturer box. Mine was from recycler. Due to weight and size, regular carriers don't ship them.

I don't know the reason but mine definitely came with pallet.

The "retail" Box of a 846 is very large (i would say at least 25% larger than the Box of a 836). Can't Imaginen that Somebody keeps it occupying a Lot of space

Most chassis's I've bought on eBay came in a perfectly sized generic box with plenty of padding. Always wondered where sellers source these boxes. I kept several of them for years but eventually they ended up in the burn pit. Still have some perfectly sized EEATX MB boxes laying around. Never know when a MB needs to go on vacation.

No I keep it in the garage. Had to move a few times and the box came handy.
