I've actually gotten industrial sample 1GB cards for free--just look for industrial CF card manufacturers and see if you can 'get a sample for your project that will be going into production soon' ;)

Interesting, i'll keep that in mind as option. Gotta receive that laptop first.

I ended up using a 32GB mSATA SSD, a mSATA-IDE (like the ones I use for my older Precisions) and Ontrack DDO which was released as freeware years ago. Works great with Win95!
