I'd rather buy from an STH'er if they are selling one rather than an ebay seller

Interesting.. I can't seem to tell what is causing the extra 4w power consumption between the two. Do you know the reason?
9201 is physically smaller => different layout and heard maybe a different power IC

9201 has a newer architecture:

The difference between the two is the internal architecture. The 9201-16e is built on the Fusion-MPT 2.0 tech, whereas the 9200-16e is Fusion-MPT 1.0.

This means in the real world:
1. more IOPS for the 9201-16e (430000 vs 290000, you will not reach that unless you load it up with high end SSDs)
2. Better driver support on Linux/Solaris

Even manafacturer's datasheets are not always accurate. The original SAS9200-16e was clocked at 533MHz. Then they overclocked it to 800MHz. I think they just did not update the power stats in the datasheet.
