I have a Xeon D 1541 in a supermicro sys-200 case that I use as a portable lab. I am currently using a MCP-250-10122-0N 84W power supply that is half the size of the case and almost the same weight. I'm looking for a more compact and portable option. Any recommendations?

If you don’t mind soldering a new plug then dell 12v notebook supplies will be one option.
Look for class V or VI efficiency ones (newer models)
Problem is I used to see heaps of them but a quick look on eBay I saw mostly 65w and 130w versions which one is a bit too small I guess and the other a little large, although the 65w versions are very small and light.

65 W is too small. I random reboots with a 65 watt adapter. I'll keep on the lookout for this. Thanks.
