Hello,
Thanks for reaching out

What pricing did you have in mind for each of the 7B12 EPYC Rome CPU's?

I will keep you in mind, however, that is a bit over my current target price for ES and QS CPU's.

Thank you for letting me know.

The days of the 2,500 and $2,000 es or qscpus are over. Those prices are never coming back. The cheapest you can get some are from China is 4,000 bucks good luck.

Well, I just picked up a early ROME ES 'JUG5' this week for $1,000.
Also purchased two others around back in the middle of May for $750 each,

Certainly, prices are going UP, however, seems there are a few out there....

Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks

There were 2 x zs1406e2vjug5 on ebay for $2500 each. The posting was up for a few days, and then someone snatched them up. So those days aren't over yet. And this was from a good seller.

I'd just wait for prices to go down, I think the retail ROME shortage is pushing prices up. $2500 is an awful lot to pay for a CPU that requires modded firmware to boot, doesn't really have turbo, and explodes if you twiddle the registers wrong. 7B12's are retail and worth $3500, there's no difference between those and a 7742, but I don't think a ZS1406 is worth much more than $1000. You can buy a pair of 8260 ES for a little more than $1000 - they're slower than a 7742 but way faster than a stock ZS1406, are supported on any board which supports Cascade Lake, and have good turbo clocks.

I completely agree with you but on the other hand you have to let people make their own decisions it's a matter of value. Sometimes you offer something that has a great value that it's a retail like you said and folks don't see the bigger picture because they want to spend as less as possible or sometimes even cheap. My mind you , you get what you paid for.

There are 5 bios files in the archive? which one?
The one that matches your board? You might want to read that entire thread... There is a lot there.

I used the Rome_H11SSLI_Rev2 cause the stickers on my SM H11SSLI board said Rev 2.0 :)

H11SSLI - Single socket board
H11DSI - Dual socket board

The MZ01 are gigabyte boards.

H11DSI REV 2.0 - Dual socket board. Is what I have been using.
SO I guess I will use Rome_H11DSI_REV2

and then set the bios settings accordingly. THE IOMMU and 4GB above.
