Open to considering pretty much anything except the new Samsung QLC stuff and first gen TLC (think Samsung 840). Must be SATA 3, no SAS. Enterprise grade drives preferred.

If 1.6tb is enough the go Intel for sure (pick a model based on performance, price etc)
If 1.92tb is more what is needed Samsung PM863 would be my next choice.
Probably some micron drives around cheap.

Not all that much enterprise sata around really , all going NVMe or staying SAS

Yeah it's for the two drive rear bay in my SM826 chassis which only supports SATA. I also don't have extra available ports on my HBA.
