Running test on new 3.5" SAS HDD I noticed the "write error correction by algorithm" (SMART in HD SENTINEL) value increases slightly after each test....new out of box was 32, currently at 72. Is this cause for concern or normal?
Also the "Total verify errors corrected by algorithm" has gone up to 3.
I never was paying this close attention before but with new drive prices I'm looking at them all now
The drives were new in box retail.
