This is my third workstation build off of AMD and by far the best build i've had so far. My first was at Thunderbird 700 overclocked to 1000Mhz, then the Threadripper 1950x and now this. With the latest CPU's, I would say AMD has arrived. I considered the Threadripper but honestly, the 3950x bests even the best HEDT processors coming out of Intel in some tasks at $300 less so it was a no brainier and this CPU run circles around the previous 1950x I had. I've been investing in HEDT builds for the past few years from both camps and it's refreshing to see that you can get a "mainstream" CPU at mainstream prices with HEDT performance.
