I have Windows 2012 R2 Standard Edition deployed on a machine having Supermicro X10SL7-F motherboard. If an application requires the system to be restarted, the server will simply shut down and not restart. I have to restart it using the IPMI. After some search I came across the article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...r-you-install-update-rollup-2919355-in-window that not only mentioned the issue and hardware affected but also outlined the solutions. I've tried everything but the problem is persisting.

Any suggestions?

I'd check your OS to see if you have any file or component corruption:

Code:
(From and Elevated command prompt)

Dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Sfc /scannow
Do you also have the latest CU applied as well?

When it fails to boot and you go through IPMI to see what's happening is the server just off or is something else on the screen?

Are there any entries in your event viewer that could lead you to an issue it's having while rebooting after you've booted back up?
